Kurt Ameringer

Kurt is Infrastructure, Energy & Materials Industry Value Expert at Dassault Systemes Corp. For over 20 years he has made a career of helping companies achieve success in business transformation by identifying process change, increasing efficiencies, and driving innovation. Pioneering 3D design, collaboration, and data reuse, Kurt has worked with major companies around the world to help develop and deploy best practices for Building Information Modeling, Virtual Design & Construction, Building Lifecycle Management solutions, and Virtual Twin Technologies.

 

Dean REED

Dean Reed

Dean led DPR Construction’s Lean Construction for over 24 years and was awarded the Lean Construction Institute’s Pioneer award in 2021. He is a co-author of the book, Integrating Project Delivery, published by Wiley in 2017. He founded the consultancy, Capability-Building, in 2021 after retiring from DPR to help companies shift from management by results/numbers to focus on the means for improving the delivery of built products.

Stuart Eckblad

Stuart is the founder and President of the Center for Innovation (formerly CIDCI), an organization to accelerate invention in the Design and Construction industry. Career promoting and creating project teams inspired him to innovate integrated and collaborative processes to design and construct healthcare facilities. Stuart introduced and launched his first Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA) for UC and UCSF Health. He leads IPD for UCSF’s new $3.8 B Parnassus Heights Hospital program.

Jaimie Johnston

Jaimie joined Bryden Wood shortly after its formation in 1995. There, he leads on the application of systems to the delivery and operation of high-performing assets. He is an authority on the platforms approach to design for manufacture and assembly and works on new data-led, digital workflows for government and private sector clients around the world. He is the author of benchmark strategic documents on platforms which are now the foundation for the UK government’s drive to create a more productive, value-driven construction sector. In 2021, he was awarded an MBE for Services to Construction.

Karen is the IT Strategic Program Director for UCSF Health and oversees the technology programs for UCSF Health expansion initiatives, including the new Parnassus Heights Hospital. She is leading a team working to identify the Hospital of the Future stakeholder journeys and the underlying technologies/capabilities required to bring those experiences to life for patients, families, care providers, and staff in the Hospital of the Future.

Sara PACELKO

Sara Pacelko

Sara is Director of Product Design at Volumetric Building Companies. She leads a global team of inventive, passionate and driven professionals who work together to develop full building systems for industrialized construction. Her team utilizes design thinking to develop new products with a heavy focus on design for manufacturing and assembly [DfMA].

In 2007 Sara completed her BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, and in 2022 she completed her STEM MBA from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. She began her career designing schools and laboratories. In 2016 she pivoted into the world of industrialized construction, focusing on high density, volumetric modular, multi-family housing. The innovation of seeking construction solutions in manufacturing environments inspired her. Over the last seven years she has supported seven factories and four companies with product development and architecture and engineering team management.

TILLMANN Patricia

Patricia A. Tillmann

Patricia is an architect with a PhD in Civil Engineering and has focused her career on supporting owners, contractors, and designers to adopt collaborative practices that aim to improve project performance, increase innovation, and maximize value delivery. She is a Board Member of the Center for Innovation in California and a Senior Manager for Lean Project Development at the Boldt Company, where she spends most of her time advising and coaching project teams on integrated practices for design and construction.

Iris Tommelein

Iris is a Distinguished Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California Berkeley where she Directs the Project Producton Systems Laboboratory (P2SL). She teaches two graduate level courses on Lean Construction. She is a Lean Pioneer, having been involved in research and teaching related to lean construction for nearly 30 years.
