2018-04-09&10 Takt Planning Workshop

P2SL WORKSHOP ON TAKT PLANNING
9 & 10 April 2018 in Berkeley, CA
[NOTE – we had planned a second workshop to be held in Boston but decided to cancel it]

P2SL, teamed up with vPlanner and Drees&Sommer, is delighted to offer a Takt Planning workshop in April at UC Berkeley. The workshop includes a hands-on simulation to learn about takt planning, its theoretical foundations, and how it can be applied in practice.
The P2SL workshop is offered for the second time in the United States and includes an introduction to Takt Planning on Day 1 and an Advanced Takt Planning class on Day 2. New participants should sign up for both days ($495/day); people who participated in P2SL’s September 2017 workshop on takt planning may skip the first day and register for only the second day.

Takt Overview

Takt Planning (TP) is a production planning technique that improves workflow reliability at the Phase Plan level when implementing the Last Planner® System (LPS). TP reduces variability by setting a predictable production rate for standard activities across right-sized geographic work areas. This disciplined production planning approach aligns not only the workflow at the site, but also the overall flow of materials and information through the supply chain starting in design and moving into detailing, fabrication and delivery processes required to support the execution of the Takt sequences.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the basic concepts of Takt Planning.
  • Learn how to create Takt Plans and optimize flow.
  • Understand how Takt Planning can be implemented within the larger context of the Last PlannerTM System (LPS).
  • Gain an understanding of when to best apply Takt Planning.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about lean project delivery and changes taking place in the industry!  Registered attendees include some of the industry’s leading production planners and change agents from various owner organizations, GCs, and trade partners.
